Krisox

Privacy policy

Effective 6 October 2026

The short version

Your files

When you upload a file on a website, Krisox reads it inside that browser tab so it can show you the size at each compression level, and compress or convert it if you choose. Results are kept in the tab's memory only until you upload, download or cancel, and are then discarded.

The file you choose to upload (the original or the smaller version) is sent only to the website you were uploading it to, by that website, as it would be without Krisox. What that website does with it is covered by its own privacy policy.

What Krisox stores on your device

You can reset the total and remove your license in the extension's settings. Uninstalling Krisox removes all of it.

What Krisox sends over the network

Nothing. Krisox does not contact any server, ours or anyone else's. Links in the extension, such as "See plans", open this website in a tab like any other link.

Permissions, and why Krisox needs them

Buying Krisox Pro

Krisox Pro is sold through Paddle, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record: Paddle processes your payment and handles taxes, under Paddle's privacy policy. We never see your card details. Paddle shares your email address and order details with us so we can send your license key (including a new one each time your subscription renews) and help with refunds and support. We use them for nothing else, and we never sell them.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It loads no third-party scripts until you click a "Get Pro" button, which loads Paddle's checkout. Like any website, its hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to operate and secure the site.

Children

Krisox is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights and questions

To ask what we hold about you, or to have your purchase records deleted, email [email protected].

Changes

If Krisox starts collecting any new kind of data, we will update this policy, and its effective date, before that happens.
